Shelly Dollar comes to MTG as CEO and President in 2013 after serving as CFO and Project Manager for Children’s Cross Connection International. She spent four years working with Ethiopian youth, directing medical and educational projects both in the US and in Ethiopia with CCCI. She and her husband, Allen Dollar (treasurer) live in Atlanta and parent eleven children as well as hosting others here for medical and educational purposes. Their family is diverse and includes children biologically theirs as well as adopted kids from China, El Salvador, Mexico and Ethiopia. |
Tom Andrews: Vice President
Tom Andrews is the President/CEO of Saint Joseph’s Health System and the President of Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services. Saint Joseph’s Health System includes Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services, Saint Joseph’s Mercy Foundation and Mercy Senior Care in Rome Georgia. In addition, the System has an investment in a Joint Operating Company with Emory Healthcare System that includes Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Translational Research Institute and Saint Joseph’s Medical Group. Foster Corbin: Secretary
Foster Corbin, an Atlanta attorney, recently retired as executive director of Metro Fair Housing Services, Inc., a civil rights organization whose mission is to see that African Americans and other minorities have complete access to housing as provided by the Federal Fair Housing Act. He was employed by that nonprofit organization for 20 years. He has been a certified mediator in the State of Georgia since 1981, one of the first mediators in the state, and continues to do mediations. He has been a long time activist in both civil and LGBT rights. |

Allen Dollar, MD: Treasurer
Dr. Dollar is a cardiologist who holds the rank of Associate Professor in the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He serves as the Chief of Cardiology at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta- one of the largest public hospitals in the country. Dr. Dollar has been doing short-term medical work internationally for over 20 years in such countries as Cambodia, Vietnam, El Salvador, Sri Lanka, India, and Ethiopia. His international work has focused on Ethiopia for the past decade where he travels frequently to provide medical care and teaching in the Addis Ababa School of Medicine and at the Gondar Medical College. He and his wife, Shelly, have adopted six children from other countries in addition to their three biological daughters and two foster children from Atlanta. |

Judge Benni Lane: Advisory Board Member and Project Manager

Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane has over 23 years of judicial service, having served on the Fulton County Superior Court for 20 of those years. She is currently serving as a family division judge. She has also served as a visiting judge for the Georgia Supreme Court and as a full time judge for the City Court of Atlanta. She has previously chaired the Georgia Superior Court Sentencing Panel. Prior to her ascent to the bench, she practiced law with The Law Project of R. Boult, et. al. and also maintained a solo practice for a number of years. During her legal career her concentration was civil rights, including prison and jail conditions, and employment law.

Claudine Baker is a healthcare IT professional at Mercy Health Services in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a recent graduate of Georgetown’s Executive MBA program where her capstone project focused on healthcare business models in Ethiopia. Millon Yohannes and wife, Lila Gebrehiwot : In-country Manager, Eyob's House Manager, and Consultant
Million and Lila live in Addis Ababa with their infant daughter and four or our students in Eyob’s family. Not only does Million serve as our country director, but he also is acting house parent and mentor to four of our students.
Million is one of the first graduates of our program. He received a Bachelor’s degree of Business and Management from Bahirdar University and now owns a travel agency in Ethiopia. Bayelgne Mamo : Addis Ababa Older Scholar’s House Manager
Bayelgne is also responsible for maintaining contact with all other houses and their financial needs. Bayelgne began his teenage years as a soldier. He became and expert in martial arts and also received a nursing degree.
He started school, like many of our kids, in his older teenage years. His humility incredibly allowed him to sit with younger students, sometimes 10 years younger, as he quickly advance grade levels. He was chosen for our Addis house because of his expertise in medicine, his mature stature and his ability to manage and befriend large groups of teenagers. |
